I had been kicking around the idea of a Boost Mobile branded playlist we could use to promote via our social channels with updates happening once a week. Our partnership with Pandora came at the perfect time to integrate the idea into our push to educate our customers that streaming music no longer ate up your data allotment. Working with JCDecaux we identified some high-profile transit shelters with lots of foot traffic in the downtown Chicago area near Boost Mobile locations. We fitted each shelter with an NFC/QR touchpoint that allowed you to link directly to our playlist that was curated by Pandora. We also worked with Blue Bite to geofence the area around the transit shelters to further push our playlist to those nearby with digital media. The playlist was so popular that even local Boost Mobile stores played the station within the location.
